Let’s face it. At AMP, we LOVE the Internet. And, we want to share our geeky, awesome, internet/techy finds with you on a weekly basis.

In this week’s edition of the Insights Lab Weekly Round Up, we’ll share some of the game changing things released this week. Let’s just say it was a great week on the interwebs.

Google GlassesEye See the Future

While Google Glasses may not usurp Warby Parker in style, they sure are incredibly cool with the potential to be a HUGE game changer. Watch out, smartphones. For those of you who have been ogling over the futuristic glasses for almost a year now, you may be able to snag a pair early. In conjunction with the release of their stunning Google Glass video, Google put out a call for submissions via a socially-driven contest on Wednesday. The winners of the contest would qualify to be one of the first people in the world to own a pair of Google Glass. All a contestant had to do was log into Twitter or Google+ and write a message with the hashtag #ifihadglass, explaining what they would do with the G-Glasses. My tweet: If I had glass, I would pin all day, everyday. #ifihadglass

Yahoo product VP Mike Kern says, said, “I totally acknowledge and agree with the trends and Yahoo, more so than anyone on the web, stands to benefit from improving our other front doors.”

Drawing in Mid Air

Remember that game DrawSomething? Imagine if you could have a 3D doodling battles with friends. Oh wait, you now can. Toy and robotics company WoobleWorks launched 3Doodler, the world’s first 3D printing pen. While most 3D printers can cost you thousands of dollars, 3Doodler is available for preorder on Kickstarter for $75. “If you can scribble, trace or wave a finger in the air you can use a 3Doodler,” the designers say on their site.
