Twitter Says Users Trust Influencers Nearly as Much as Their Friends

New study finds that 40 percent of users have purchased an item online after seeing it used by an influencer on Instagram, Twitter, Vine or YouTube. Brands have long noticed this clout, and are harnessing these new household names like they are this generations’ new cereal boxes.
