Why the Walls are Crumbling Between Sales & Marketing

In companies like Unilever, the e-commerce department is now doing the work that would have been divided among 2 or 3 sales and marketing functions. Why? Shoppers don’t distinguish the difference, especially in ecommerce, and retailers have become omnichannel, not to mention they are also publishers and important distributors. So it’s important for these functions to operate as one department, cohesively.

The walls need to come down.
