Barbie’s New Body

Barbie is undergoing the biggest change in her 57-year history. She will now have three new bodies (petite, tall, curvy) that will be sold alongside her original unrealistic form. While a lot of discourse is to be expected, Barbie’s sales have plummeted and a change was necessary. The new body types symbolize the body acceptance movement and new beauty ideals that applause curves.
