Advertising's Gender Problem: Some Brands Are Starting To Get It

The advertising industry has a lot to do in terms of gender equality. Even though women control 85% of purchasing decisions, over 91% if them feel like advertisers don’t understand them. But times are (slowly) changing with the #WomenNotObject movement and beer companies and children’s toy brands making much needed progress. This year Barbie got a new body and both Coors Light and Bud Light created ads that appeal to women rather than objectify them.
